Square Enix debuted a CGI trailer for the next entry in the Deus Ex series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Rumors of the sequel started popping up only a few days before the launch of the trailer. The trailer didn’t show off any of the in-game graphics or gameplay, but gave a little preview of the story and characters. The protagonist appears to be Adam Jensen, the same from the last game.

For those who are new to the series, Deus Ex is what might be a “cyberpunk thriller.” The games follow characters that have had their bodies “augmented” with cybernetic implants that allow them to see through walls, punch down walls, survive long falls, or any matter of awesome things. The games feature very open level design allowing for a large amount of player choice. Players can freely choose to complete side-missions and approach objectives stealthily, electronically, with brute force, or any combination of the three. The most recent entry (actually a prequel to the previous two entries) met good reviews overall (holding a 90 on Metacritic). The only thing that really held the game back were the very odd and ill-fitting boss fights. It was later stated that they were designed by a different developer, which might explain their faults.
