In a move to compete with the lower prices of Sony’s next-gen console, Microsoft will be offering an Xbox One package without the Kinect bundled with it for the price of, you guessed it, $399. Along with this major announcement, Microsoft unveiled several other crowd-pleasing plans to compete with Sony.
- Their Games with Gold program will be expanding on to the Xbox One, starting with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault in June
- More discounts for LIVE members, starting with Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, along with “a few other surprises”
- Finally, many popular apps will no longer require the user to be a gold subscriber, such as Netflix, Twitch, HBO Go, and many others
What do you think of Xbox’s most recent steps in their war with Sony? I know I’m excited to see Microsoft put forward their A-game. Let us know what you think in the comments!
